All rides are free for St. Louis Recreational Cyclists members. Non-members must join by their second ride.

RIDE Starting Location: Page Extension parking lot

Time of Departure:   10:00 AM -due to flooding at CC Sailboat cove, we are parking and departing vehicles from the Page Extension parking lot.  The majority of the route is passable including the dog park.  A slight route adjustment due to water and debris on Bethman will be discussed at departure location.  

Description: Riding from Creve Coeur Sailboat Cove through St. Charles to New Town and back. Additional 5 mile loop available.  10AM tempWILL BE AROUND 50 DEGREES with sunshine- UP TO 60.  Time to get back into spring riding and a favorite ride from CC to NT

Ride Leader’s Expectations: Final Speed – 12 to 13 mph & 14 to 15 mph averages. Depending on group size and rider willingness to lead, there could be different speeds and sub-groups on this ride. Be advised that if you vary from the official route, you are on your own.  Many times, there are stretches where speeds will increase.  Distance – Options for 45 to 51 miles.  Climbing Elevation: 1190′ to 1227′ of climbing depending on route. This ride has rolling hills.  Riding time: Approx. 3.5+ hours, time on course 4 hours.

Cue Sheet: Sailboat Cove to New Town & Back

Please print a copy if you want one.  Ride Leaders have minimal copies.  All participants are expected to bring either the cue sheet, a cycling computer with the ride’s  Navigation files and/or Smartphone with GPS link.  I recommend riders carry a cue sheet if they are not familiar with the route.

Stops: • #1 St. Charles Tourism Center & #2 Marsala’s Market, New Town

Road Hazards:   A bit of debris and a few small puddles of water due to excessive rain. 

Weather:    Ride will be canceled if it is raining, high percentage of rain or high winds.  Check the weather forecast and check this ride calendar for any updates on the morning of the ride.
