Route 66 Park Ride
February 2 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Participation in STLRC Rides & Walks is at your own risk. STLRC assumes no liability.
Starting Location: Route 66 Park
Meeting time: 11:15 am
Time of Departure: 11:30 am
Description: The ride starts riding in Route 66 Park going through Eureka to Allenton Rd. and return. THE BRIDGE OVER THE RAILROAD TRACKS IS CLOSED TO GET TO HWY ROUTE OLD 66 INDEFINITELY. This will be a 18 mile ride. Others who want a shorter ride can ride over to Eureka on a bike path to Droste Park and back for a total of 12 miles or just stay riding in the park. Leader expects to go 10-12 mph. The park ranger has assured me that there is no ice on trails and roads. The return from Allenton usually has a tail wind.
The cue sheet is very accurate and easy to follow without leadership if you want to do your own thing.
