Starting Location: Millstadt Liederkranz Park on Main Street
Time of Departure: 7:00AM
Description: Riding to visit Freeburg, IL over quiet country roads.
Ride Leader Expectations: Final Speed – 1st Flight – 15 to 16 mph average. If there is a 2nd Flight – 13 to 14 mph average Drafting – There will be drafting on this ride. Distance – 45 or 47 miles Climbing Elevation: 1289 to 1340′ of climbing depending on the route chosen. This ride has mild hills. Riding time: Approx. 4+ hours, time on course 4.5 hours.
2nd Flight: If anyone else wants to lead a 2nd flight at a more moderate pace or distance on this ride, please contact the ride leader if interested.
Directions:
- I-270/255 SE across the JB Bridge
- Go right at Exit #6 towards Columbia/Hwy 3 south
- Go for 4.3 miles to right exit up and over Hwy 3 onto Hwy 158 towards Millstadt
- Continue onto IL-158 E for 5.6 miles
- Turn left on Main Street. Go .2 miles
- Liederkranz Park parking along tree line will be on the left

Please print a copy if you want one. Ride Leaders have minimal copies. All participants are expected to bring either the cue sheet, a cycling computer with the ride’s Navigation files and/or Smartphone with GPS link. Riders should be able to find their way back if an unforeseeable event happens during this ride.

Stops: Re-group stops as needed to stay together. 1. Rest rooms in in Freeburg at the MotoMart on Hwy 15. 2. Main Rest/Food stop is the Smithton Caseys.
Road Hazards: Might be a touch of chipseal here and there.
Weather Considerations: The ride will be canceled if: It’s raining or there is a high percentage prediction of rain, too hot or high winds.
