All rides are free for St. Louis Recreational Cyclists members. Non-members must join by their second ride.
Starting Location: Schnucks Lake St. Louis
Time of Departure: 10:00 AM
Description: Riding From Lake STL Schnucks with lots of rolling hills to Foristell and back. Ride Leaders plan to do the 40 mile route.
Ride Leader’s Expectations: Final Speed – 14.5 – 15+ mph Average. We will cruise at times at 16-20 mph depending on wind direction and terrain. Drafting – There will be drafting on this ride. Distance – 38 or 40 miles. Climbing Elevation: Approx. 1800′ of climbing on these routes. This ride has rolling hills with a couple of long grades. Riding time: Approx. 3+ hours, time on course 3.5 hours.
2nd Flight: If anyone wants to lead a 2nd Flight on this ride at a slower pace or distance, please let the posting ride leader know.
Directions:
- Take I-64 west towards Lake St. Louis.
Take Exit #2.
Go Left at Lake St. Louis Blvd.

Please print a copy if you want one. Ride Leaders bring just a few copies. All participants are expected to bring either the cue sheet, a cycling computer with the ride’s Navigation files and/or Smartphone with GPS link. Riders should be able, on their own, to navigate back to the starting point if they get disconnected from the group or have an emergency.

Stops: Several stops to re-group. Main Rest Stop – Phillips 66/McDonalds in Foristell. Rest Room stop at Phillips 66 in New Melle.
Road Hazards: We’ll be on a few busy roads for a little bit. Always watching out for black ice.
Weather Considerations: Ride will be canceled if raining at start, high percentage of rain/snow forecasted, too windy or cold. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar. Any doubts, Contact ride leader with questions.
Special Notes: Rest rooms available at ride start at Hucks or Schnucks.
