STLRC – Upcoming Rides and Events

Starting Location: Fenton City Park restrooms parking lot.

Time of Departure:  8:30 AM sharp   Meetup:  8:10 AM

Description:  We will explore Fenton City Park’s paths, travel along the west bank of the Meramec River on the Meramec Greenway, exploring north to Unger Park and lake, and south to Fenton Old Town, Mini Ha Ha Park and George Winter Park,.  We will see woods, parks, golf courses, a major river, and historic buildings. About 14 to 17 miles, depending on amount of exploration we choose.  Mostly flat.  Pace of about 8-10 mph.

Special Considerations during this time:

• Social distancing of 6 ft.
• Consider bringing a mask
• Stay home if you feel ill or think you may have been exposed to the Coronavirus.
• OBEY APPROPRIATE RESTRICTIONS PER CDC AND LOCAL GOVERNING BODIES.

Directions: See map. Meet at parking lot next to Fenton City Park restrooms on Sweany Lane. Enter the park from the north-south portion of Larkin Williams road turning west onto Sweany Drive.  Then shortly turn right onto Sweany Lane, and you are immediately there.   A good GPS prompt would be:  Sweany Lane, Fenton

Cue Sheet: Guidance on route provided at start.

Experience Level: 2Aa

Stops: Restroom break at Fenton Park or Mini-Ha-ha  restrooms in middle of ride. Option for eating in Fenton at conclusion.

Road Hazards: Obey all traffic signals. Use extreme caution at all crossings.

Weather Considerations: Canceled if raining at start time, or wind chill predicted for 49F or less.  Check for cancellations on website one hour before departure. Start time or ride length may be altered  in hot weather (85F or higher).
