Starting Location:  (New Venue)  Veteran’s Memorial Park, Union, MO

Time of Departure:  7:30 AM

Description:   Only one length and that is 42 miles with 2647′ of climbing.  This ride includes 2 rest stops in St. Clair, MO.   There are rest rooms available at the start at the Veterans Memorial Park.

Ride Leader Expectations:

Final Speed – 13 to 14 mph Average.  Distance – 42 miles. No short options. Climbing Elevation: Approx. 2647′ of climbing. This ride has rolling hills, one 10% climb and some long grades.  Rest stops: Several to regroup and rest/food stops in St. Clair, MO.

Directions:

  • Take I-44 west to the Hwy. 50 Exit 247.
  • Exit to Hwy 50 (towards Union)
  • Continue on Hwy 50 approx. 3 miles to Progress Parkway.
  • Go Left on Progress Parkway .7 mile to the Veterans Memorial Park Entrance (with the flags)
  • Parking area will be on your left by rest rooms.

Stops:  #1 Rest room stop, at 12 miles at the Phillips 66 on Old Route66 in St. Clair. #2 Rest/food stop is at the Casey’s at 29.2 miles on Old Route 66 in St. Clair.

Road Hazards: May have some heavier traffic on a few roads. We will be riding on some I-44 outer roads for a few miles.  There will be climbing with one 10% hill but nothing you haven’t done before.

Weather Considerations: The ride will be canceled if it’s raining, too hot or too windy. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar. Check the website for any corrections or cancellations before you leave home. Contact ride leader with questions.
