St. Peters to Lake STL

Starting Location: State commuter parking lot on the north side of I-70 at the St. Peters exit (exit #222). This is right across from the St. Peters Mid Rivers QuikTrip. We will visit the QT prior to leaving the area.
Time of Departure: 9:00am
Description: Scenic ride from St. Peters through the countryside of O’Fallon to Lake St. Louis & Back. Options for 41 to 51 miles. The Ride Leader may ride the 51 mile route since the rain is being forecasted for later in the afternoon.
Ride Leader’s Expectations: Speed – 13.5 – 14.5 Average. Drafting – There will be drafting. Distance – May ride the 51 mile route. Elevation: There is 1885′ of rolling hills and climbing. This ride has lots of rolling hills and some longer stretches with moderate grades. Ride Time: 4 hours – time on course 4.5 hours.
Directions:
- Take I-70 W to Exit #222 .
- Use the middle lane to turn right onto Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
- Quick Left turn (at signal) on Main Street.
- Turn left into commuter parking lot across from QuikTrip.

Stops: Rest stops – Several re-group stops as needed to keep everyone together. Optional Rest Rooms at McDonalds at Guthrie & I-70. The main rest stop will be in Lake St. Louis at the Hucks next to the Lake STL Schnucks. Rest Rooms in O’Fallon also on the way back.

Weather Considerations: Ride will be canceled if raining, snowing, pavement wet or icy, too cold or high winds at start time. We won’t start in the rain or snow. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar. Contact ride leader with questions
