Participation in STLRC Rides & Hikes is at your own risk. STLRC assumes no liability.

Starting Location: State commuter parking lot on the north side of I-70 at the St. Peters exit (exit #222).

Time of Departure: 8:00 AM

Description:  Scenic ride from St. Peters through the countryside of O’Fallon to Hawk Ridge & Back. Options for 40 to 47.4 miles

Special Considerations during this time:

  • Bring mask to wear if requested
  • Stay home if you feel ill or have been exposed to the Coronavirus.

Directions:

  • Take I-70 W to  Exit #222 .
  • Use the middle lane to turn right onto Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
  • Quick Left turn (at signal) on Main Street.
  • Turn left into commuter parking lot across from QuikTrip.

Short Route

Download both .fit files for use in your Garmin or other cycling GPS device.   We’ll decide which route to use at start time. To use the .fit file in your GPS cycling device: Click on the above .fit file link. The file will download to the downloads folder on your computer. Plug your Garmin into your computer with USB cable. Open the Garmin file on your device. Copy the above .fit file to the New Files folder. Unplug your device and boot it up.  When you go to the Navigation tab, the route will be in your Saved Courses.

Stops:  Rest / Food stop in Hawk Ridge at numerous locations to be decided at start time.

Road Hazards:

Weather Considerations:  Ride will be cancelled if raining or high winds at start time. We won’t start in the rain. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar.  Contact ride leader with questions.
