RIDE Starting Location: Tourism Center in St. Charles.
Assemble: 9:40am
Time of Departure: 10:00am
The start time has been delayed by half an hour because of low temperatures early on.
Description: Come spot the ice on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers on this flat half century ride to Portage des Sioux. Final average speed 14-15 mph; higher speeds on straights.
Special Considerations: Bring lots of snacks, water, and bicycle lights.
Directions to Start Point:
From I-70
- Take 5th St Exit to St. Charles for ~0.4 miles
- Right on Boon’s Lick Road
- Left on S. Riverside Drive for 3/4 mile.
- Park behind Kilwin’s across from the Tourism Center.
Cue Sheet: St. Charles – Portage Des Sioux 50.4
The ride leader will cut out the South Shore loop by going from mile 7.2 to approx mile 12.5 at Washeon / Church. This cuts about 4 miles – so keep the same cue sheet.

Rest Stop: Snack and convenience stops at Portage and Smartt Field. No opportunities to buy refreshments.
