RIDE Starting Location: Sailboat Cove, Creve Coeur Lake

Time of Departure:  7:30AM

Description:   Ride from Creve Coeur Sailboat Cove through St. Charles to New Town and further.  100 fairly flat century. The plan is a century every month, best weather day of the month if possible.  So be watchful.  Routes will vary.  Nice challenge for a century a month for 2023!

Weather Concerns:   It will be chilly in the morning so dress appropriately, wear your winter gear with warm socks, thermal tights, jackets and gloves. AM temps-40 degrees, afternoon high 56, with full sun.  Winds doable.  Bill will meet us at Tourism center, for anyone wanting to shed gear and add to truck.

and, a cooler for drinks, sandwiches… will be in the truck

Directions:

From I-70

  • Route 141 (Maryland Heights Expressway) south for 2.4 miles.
  • Left on Marine Ave. for 0.4 miles.
  • Right to Sailboat Cove parking lot.

From I-64/Hwy40

  • Route 141 (Maryland Heights Expressway) north for 8.5 miles
  • Right on Marine Ave. for 0.4 miles.
  • Right to Sailboat Cove parking lot.

Print out a cue sheet if you want one.  Ride Leader will have minimal copies.

Stops: • # Rest rooms at CC,  St. Charles Tourism Center & #2 stops at Marsala’s Market in  New Town, Smartt airport. Return Marsala’s.  Lunch mile 46 at Marsala’s.  Bring sandwich (Bill will bring cooler in truck) or purchase food at Marsala’s.

Note: Ride will be canceled if it is raining, high percentage of rain or heavy winds, or too cold. Check the weather forecast and check this ride calendar for any updates on the morning of the ride.
