Pacific to Washington – New Ride

Starting Location: Pacific Commuter Parking @169 1st Street in the city of Pacific
Be advised that there are no rest rooms, at this time, at this location. Stop before you get here to use a rest room. First stop on our route is a BP station approx. 1 mile away.
Time of Departure: 8:30 AM
Description: If you enjoyed the Tour de Washington that we rode earlier this Spring, you will really enjoy this. Slightly different route with some more hills. Several thrilling descents too but remember, you always have to pay for those thrilling downhills with some not so thrilling uphills. Only one length option and that is 46.3 miles with 2786′ of climbing. Main rest stop/lunch will be at Joe’s Deli on Main Street, Washington or any other place in the immediate vicinity you prefer. There are several convenience store rest stops available also.
Special Considerations during this time:
- Social distancing of 6 ft.
- Bring mask to wear if requested
- Stay home if you feel ill or have been exposed to the Coronavirus.
- Take I-44 west to the Six Flags Exit.
Go Left on Allenton Rd to Business 44 / Osage Rd.
Right on Business 44/Osage Rd.
Go 2.2 miles to Left on 1st St in Pacific.
On 1st St, go .2 miles to Commuter Parking lot on the right.

Download the .fit file for use in your Garmin GPS device. The above .fit route is the route the Ride Leader plans to ride. To use the .fit file in your Garmin GPS cycling device: Click on the above .fit file. The file will download to the downloads folder on your computer. Copy the file to the New Files folder on your Garmin. When you go to the Navigation tab, the route will be in your Saved Courses.
Stops: #1 BP Restroom break at 1.2 miles. #2 Optional stop, 8 miles, Phillips 66 at Hwy 100 & Old 66. #3 Rest stop is at the Washington BP at 21.2 miles and our lunch rest stop is at 25 miles, Joe’s Deli in Washington. Joe’s Deli is not locked in stone for lunch. Other food options in Washington are available. Ride leader can be gently persuaded.
Road Hazards: May have some heavier traffic on a few roads but hardly saw many vehicles when on our car recon ride through. There will be some climbing but no monster hills. Steepest gradient is 8% for .2 mile. Lots of rollers though.
Weather Considerations: The ride will be cancelled if it’s raining or too windy. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar. Check the website for any corrections or cancellations before you leave home. Contact ride leader with questions.
