Starting Location: O’Fallon Civic Park     Restrooms have been open at Community Pool but may be a good idea to stop at a gas station close to starting location.

Time of Departure:  8:00 AM

Description: Rolling ride to Moscow Mills and back.  Options for 47.7 to 50 miles

Ride Leader’s Expectations:  Final Speed – 14.5 to 15+ mph Average.  We will cruise sometimes at 16-20 mph. Many times there are stretches where speeds will increase. Drafting – We will be drafting on this ride.   Distance – 47.7 mile Out & Back or 49 mile route through Old Monroe.  Climbing Elevation: 2300′ to 2400′ of climbing depending on route. This ride has lots of rolling hills.  

Directions:

  • Head West on I-70  – Exit at exit #218 to E Terra Ln (outer road).
  • Proceed straight 0.9 miles to right on Hwy K (Main Street).
  • Go north 0.6 miles on Hwy K (Main Street) to railroad crossing.
  • Turn left (west) 0.2 miles on Civic Park Drive to the parking lot on the right.

Road Hazards: Rough pavement on St. Matthew Ave.

Weather Considerations:  Ride will be canceled if raining at start time. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar.
