Dear  STLRC  Friends,

Please consider making a donation to the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s.  St. Louis Recreation Cyclists members will be participating in the Pedal in Place at the Race! On Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Giro Della Montagna on the Hill during the Gateway Cup Races and the Trailnet Rides.

THEY HELP PEOPLE WITH PARKINSON’S LIVE WELL TODAY.

Since 2004, the Davis Phinney Foundation has brought to life some of the most important programs, research, content, and events for those affected by Parkinson’s. Their community includes people living with Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s care partners, families and friends of those living with Parkinson’s, physicians, and Parkinson’s allied health professionals.

The Davis Phinney Foundation is a non-profit to help people with Parkinson’s live well with the disease. It was founded in 2004 by Davis Phinney, a former professional road bicycle racer and Olympic medal winner. Today, Davis is a figure in the cycling community and people living with Parkinson’s (estimated 60,000 Americans and estimated 10 million worldwide).

If you choose to make a donation, please go to this site:  http://events.dpf.org/gateway24 to make a donation.  Be sure to enter St. Louis Recreational Cylists as the team name.  If you want a particular team member to receive credit for your donation, enter their name as well.  The team roster is listed under St. Louis Recreational cyclists.

If you are not comfortable with this online process but wish to donate, you can send a check payable to Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinsons. and include “Gateway Cup  St. Louis Recreational Cyclists (and team member’s name if you wish) in the memo of the check.  Mail to    Davis Phinney Foundation, PO Box 27948, Louisville, CO 80027  A list of members asking for donations and participating in the stationary bike ride can be found on the above website.
