Participation in STLRC Rides & Hikes is at your own risk. STLRC assumes no liability.
Last ride of 2024 season!!!!
Starting Location: Schnucks Lake St. Louis
Time of Departure: 10:00 AM
Description: Riding From Lake STL Schnucks with lots of rolling hills to Old Monroe & back. Ride Leaders plan to do the 44 mile route weather permitting. As I post this, there is a 30% chance of rain, NW 6 mph wind, and temps in the higher 40s. So, we may do the shorter route if the rain is closing in. I will be monitoring the weather. Hopefully we can get this ride in. Not starting in the rain as usual. We should have a nice tailwind for the return.
Ride Leader’s Expectations: Final Speed – 14.5 – 15+ mph Average. We will cruise at times at 16-20 mph depending on wind direction and terrain. Drafting – There will be drafting on this ride. Distance – 38 or 44 miles . Climbing Elevation: 1958′ or 2283′ of climbing on these routes. This ride has rolling hills with a couple of long grades. Riding time: Approx. 3+ hours, time on course 3.5 hours.
