Monarch Levee 44 – Wildhorse Creek Rd – Allenton – St. Albans w/2nd Flight

Starting Location: Chesterfield Athletic Fields parking
Time of Departure: 9:30AM
Description: Riding from the Chesterfield Athletic Fields parking lot to pass by 6 Flags and then on to St. Albans. We will be climbing a few good size hills, Ossenfort, Fox Creek, and Melrose off of Highway T. Restrooms available at ride start at Chesterfield Athletic Fields, I think.
Ride Leader’s Expectations: Speed: 1st Flight 14 – 15 mph Average. If there is a 2nd Flight 12-13 mph Average. Moving speed will increase on the flatter portions of the ride. Elevation: 2321‘ of climbing elevation with several steep climbs Distance: 43.9 miles.
2nd Flight: Bruce Crask is leading a 2nd Flight on this ride at 12-13 mph and a distance of 33 miles. We don’t have the route he will take to return but Bruce can brief everyone interested at the ride start.
Directions:
- West on I-64 (Hwy 40) to Exit #14 (Spirit of St. Louis Blvd.)
- Up exit ramp to traffic roundabout,
- Make a hard right turn onto the North Service Rd.
- Go 0.1 mile and turn left on the road leading to the athletic fields.
- Turn into parking lot on right. Park by the concession stand restrooms.

Print a cue sheet if you want one. Riders are expected to either have a cue sheet or a cycling GPS device or Smartphone with the navigation route file loaded. You should be prepared to find your way if you get disconnected from the group.

Stops: 1st Stop – Optional Rest Rooms at 6 Flags McDonalds/MotoMart. #2 Main rest stop is Sam’s Market at Hwy 100 and Hwy OO.
