Starting Location:  Chesterfield Soccer Fields Parking Lot

Meeting time:  8:45 am

Time of Departure:  9:00 am

Description: Ride the bike path and roads into West County and Wildwood.    Mileage options of 19, 28 and 37+ miles.  Option for additional miles and hills by going into St. Albans.  Ride to Hardt and back is mostly flat.   Ride to Hencken and back is rolling hills.  More sizeable hills to St. Albans.  If riders choose to ride up Hardt to Wild Horse Creek to 100, be advised that it has more extreme hills and puts you on 100 for a longer period.

Leader goes up T, R on 100, R on Old Manchester to Melrose.  You are hardly on 100.  DO NOT RIDE ON THE ROAD ON 100.  USE THE SHOULDER.



  • West on I-64 (Hwy 40) to Exit #14: (Spirit of St. Louis Blvd.).
  • Take the exit ramp to traffic circle then make a hard right onto the North Service Rd.
  • Go 0.1 mi and turn left on road leading to athletic fields and parking.

Restrooms:  At start of route, at the trailhead at Centaur,   the park on Hencken, at the McDonalds at the bottom of Allenton, and at the Heads Store in St. Albans.

Experience Level: (3Cb-4Cc)

Hazards: 100 is a busy highway.  Use caution and always use the shoulder.  When crossing 100 consider walking across if there is traffic.  Don’t cross just because the person in front of you is crossing.  Vehicles do not have time to slow down.

Regrouping Stops:  Ossenfort and Hardt (on right shoulder before turning onto Hardt.

Shoulder on 100 at T on northwest corner  Tell leader if you are going off the cue sheet and won’t be meeting the group there.

Hencken Dogwood Park.  All should meet up here unless you previously tell leader of other plans.
