Starting Location:  Millstadt Village Park, Kalbfleisch Dr., Millstadt, IL

Time of Departure:  8:30 AM

Description:  Taking a tour to visit the little city of Mascoutah, IL. with a ride through Scheve Park.  Options for 48 to 51 miles.  This ride is pretty flat with most of the elevation on Urbana Road coming in and out of Millstadt.

Special considerations during this time:

  • Social distance of 6′
  • Bring mask to wear if requested
  • Stay home if you feel ill or have been exposed to the Coronavirus.

Directions:

  • I-270/255 SE across the JB Bridge
  • Go right at Exit #6 towards Columbia/Hwy 3 south
  • Go for 4.3 miles to right exit up and over Hwy 3 onto Hwy 158 towards Millstadt
  • Stay on Hwy 158 east for 7.1 miles (2 blocks past VFW Hall).
  • Turn left on Polk St. (Saeger) for 0.3 miles.
  • Turn right on Kalbfleisch Road for 0.2 miles.
  • Turn right into Millstadt City Park parking lot.

To use the .fit file in your Garmin GPS cycling device: Click on the above .fit file. The file will download to the downloads folder on your computer. Copy the file to the New Files folder on your Garmin. When you go to the Navigation tab, the route will be in your Saved Courses.

Experience Level:  4Bb – 4Bc

Stops:  Rest stops at the Freeburg MotoMart coming and going.  Rest/Food Stop in Mascoutah at the MotoMart at Main and Jefferson or there’s a coffee shop across the street from the MotoMart.  And once again, I do not own any MotoMart stock!

Road Hazards:  Brickyard Road has some bad spots. Pay attention!

Weather Considerations: The ride will be cancelled if: It’s raining or there is a high percentage prediction of rain or high winds. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar.  Check the website for any corrections or cancellations before you leave home.
