Marsala’s to Lake 370+

Starting Location: Marsala’s Market – New Town, St. Charles
Time of Departure: 7:30am
Description: Nice level ride to check out Lake 370 with an option for an O’Fallon Loop. Options for 40 to 49 miles
Ride Leader’s Expectations & Objectives: Speed: 14.5 – 16 mph Average. Remember – this is an average. Many times there are stretches where speeds will increase. Drafting – We like to work together and will be drafting on this ride. Distance – We’ll discuss ride length at start time considering temps and wind speed. We can complete this ride before 11 AM. Elevation: Flat
Varying from these objectives: If you want to vary from the above objectives, please formally volunteer, before start time, to lead a section of the ride for yourself and others at the pace you desire.
Special Considerations during this time:
- Bring mask to wear if requested
- Stay home if you feel ill or have been exposed to the Coronavirus.
Directions to start from I-270:
From I-270 Take Hwy 370 North to St. Charles
After 7.2 miles take Exit 5 and go east on New Town Boulevard
After 2.5 miles turn right to W. Canal street
Continue on Canal St 0.6 miles to Arpent St.
Turn right then left at Rue Royale St.
Go Left on Civic Circle and park just north of Marsala’s.

Download both .fit files for use in your Garmin or other cycling GPS device. Will work on your smartphone also but you must download the RidewithGPS App first. To use the .fit file in your GPS cycling device: Click on the above .fit file link. The file will download to the downloads folder on your computer. Copy the file to the New Files folder on your Garmin. When you go to the Navigation tab, the route will be in your Saved Courses.
Experience Level: 4Ab – 4Ac
Stops: Rest/Food at QuikTrip in Old St. Peters and Motomart at New Town Blvd & Fountain Lake.
Road Hazards: Be careful on Salt River Road.
Weather Considerations: Ride will be canceled if raining at start time or forecast looks sketchy. Please watch the weather forecasts and radar.
