STLRC Year End Ride Attendance Report, December 2024
In 2024 the number of rides scheduled and rides recorded were 10% down on than last year and total attendance was down by 15% as shown in the chart. Average attendance per ride remained at 7.

35 rides were below 20 miles, 62 rides were between 21 and 40 miles 164 rides were between 41 and 60 miles and the rest above 61 miles including a dozen recorded centuries; (Sue DiPiano did a total of 25 posted and unposted centuries in the year!)
The average speeds at the completion of rides ranged from below 10mph to above 16 mph.
26 members – up from 24 as last year – organized the rides as Ride Leaders and second flight leaders. They posted new and existing rides, made final decisions on weather delays, led, and recorded all the rides:
- Notably, Joe & Sharon Kruchowski – 67 – led a quarter of all rides and organized rides for other leaders deserving the heartfelt thanks of the Club.
- Rick Schuchet, and Granville White each led more than 25 rides.
- Leading more than 10 rides each were Mike Byrd, Sue DiPiano, Faye Holdenried, Dale Markley, Tom Mitchell, and Bill & Kathy Montgomery.
- Other ride leaders were Patti & Tim Brumleve, Bruce Crask, Peggy Crump, Ken DeBeer, Joanne Fromme, Laura Gerren, Nick Giovanetti, Marylyn Janowski, Steve Leach, Leslie McCormick, Paul Ohlendorf, Karen Parnham, Louis Pfleckl, Claudia Spener, Randall White, Jerry Whittle and Sue Wilhelm.
119 out the 187 club members rode at least one club ride in 2024.
- Most members (89) participated in 1 to 20 rides.
- Above 20 club rides: Patti Brumleve, Tim Brumleve, John Buck, Robert Byrd, Bruce Crask, Peggy Crump, Clark Currier, Sue DiPiano, Ken Gerhardt, Nick Giovanetti, Mark Gnau, Faye Holdenried, Harry Jones, Forrest King, Dale Markley, Leslie McCormack, Bill Montgomery, Paul Ohlendorf, Bill Raisch.
- Above 40 club rides: Mike Barton, Byron Crawford, Ed Isenberg, Jim Schweppe.
- Above 60 club rides: Mike Byrd, Ken DeBeer.
- Above 80 club rides: John Jauss, Joe Kruchowski, Sharon Kruchowski, Rick Schuchet (101), and Granville White.
