Meet at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 start from the Metro East Parks & Recreation Admin Building. Ride 30 - 40 miles on the outstanding MCT paved trail network. Directions: From I-255, take the Horseshoe Lake Road exit (exit #26). East on Horseshoe Lake Road for 0.6 miles. Turn right on Freedom Drive, and then turn left, at the tee, on United Dr. (unmarked) to the Metro East Park and Recreation parking lot, directly behind Culver's restaurant. From I-70 east, exit at IL Route 157 (exit #11- Collinsville). North on Rt. 157 for 0.5 miles. Left on United Drive (the road just before Culver's), then a right into the Metro East Park and Recreation parking lot. Directions: From I-270, exit at Dorsett Rd. West 1.5 miles to Marine Ave. Right (north) on Marine for about 1.3 miles to Sailboat Cove entrance. Options for 25 - 45 miles. Rest/Food Stop in New town.
