Meet at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 start (the fried chicken dinner does not begin until noon) We will meet at the Mueller Road Soccer field off MO. Hwy 370 and use the cue sheet Joanie's Portage Loop with lunch at Sugar fire and do the 34 mile ride. At the 16.1 mile mark we will cross Hiway 94 and ride into Portage instead of making a right onto Hiway 94. The picnic features a chicken dinner with many side dishes. Bicycle in the Xenia, Ohio area. Xenia, Ohio is the hub for numerous rails to trails bicycle paths. Country riding is also available. Susan Feldman has compiled many possible rides for us using trails and roads. Riding exclusively on the bicycle paths is also an option. A variety of rides are offered: short, long, hilly, flat, bike paths, country roads. Something for everyone. Cyclists provide their own transportation and stay in the same Ramada Inn the whole trip. Susan's cue sheets will be available and trail maps will be provided by the hotel. We will meet briefly each day before dinner to discuss possible rides the following day.
