Hello, I am Greg Wilson. I will be starting a new series of rides. They will be held most every Thursday, in the evening. The rides will be on predominately bike trails, with some back roads and unpaved trails as well. They will be of the adventure type of riding, so a bike that can do well on rougher surfaces will do quite well.
Meet at 5:30 pm for a 5:45 start
from Minnie Ha Ha Park, 801 Old Gravois Rd., Sunset Hills. Park at the first paved parking lot on the right. Ride the trails in Minni Ha Ha, George Winter Park, as well as the trails in Fenton and Unger Parks. This will be mostly on bike trails, with some riding on county roads. Recommend a bike with 28mm tires or above. No cue sheet needed, as this is a no drop ride. Suggest lights, as evening can be upon us before return. We like to go to Three Margarita's for refreshments in Fenton afterwards. Coordinator: Greg Wilson, Cell: 314-605-6377.

16 Apr Sat  Sunset Hills Earth Day Bike Rodeo
Looking for a few fun-loving cyclists who enjoy kids to help with a Bike Rodeo on April 16 at Sunset Hills Earth Day celebration. Attached is a listing of the possible activities that we are considering for the event. We won’t offer all of them. A troop of boy scouts will be helping, also. Will need help with registering each participant (each child should arrive with his/her own bike and helmet), inspecting the bike for any mechanical problems and explaining any issues with the bicycle owner, and checking bike and helmet fit. Also may need help with the stations and activities, depending on how many scouts volunteer to help.
There’s no “right way” to run the Bike Rodeo. We want to make it fun so that kids learn about safety but also learn to love cycling so that they will continue doing so throughout their lifetime.
The Bike Rodeo will take place from 10:00 til noon. You may need to arrive a bit early, depending on the parking situation.
Please call Anne Jesse at 314-843-9438 (home) or 314-757-6784 (cell) if you’re interested in helping.
We will have a meeting a few days before the event to strategize.
