Meet Kirkwood Park, swimming pool lot *note that construction means must enter from Monroe and Geyer* at 09:00 a.m., departing at 09:30. No go in rain. Directions: From I-64 take Lindbergh south 3.6 miles. Turn right on Adams for 0.5 miles. Turn left on Geyer for 0.3 miles. Turn right on Monroe then right into parking lot. From I-270 take Dougherty Ferry Exit for 0.3 miles. Turn right onto North Ballas for 0.5 miles, continue straight onto Adams road for 1.5 miles, Right onto Geyer for 0.3miles, right on Monroe then right into parking lot. Directions: I-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th Street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone's Lick Road for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area. Note there are no rest rooms available at the Boathouse parking area. Rest rooms are available at the Tourism Center which is located at the intersection of S. Sign in at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 start. Ride the route created just last year by the late Dalton Baker - a long time member of AYH and then STLRC. Meet at the Forest Park Visitors Center parking lot. Directions: The Visitors Center is just east of the History Museum off Lindell Blvd. Parking lot behind the administration building. This ride is approximately 26 miles. After exiting Forest Park to the west on Wydown, cut thru DeMun & Shaffly's, pass thru part of proposed Southwest Connector route by Deer Creek, cross I-44 at Murdoch and roll the gentle hills on Laclede Station to Grant's Trail. Ride to New Town through neighborhoods; return route follows the paved Greenway Bike Trail. We’ll eat at Hendrick’s in St. Charles. Directions: I-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th St. north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone's Lick Rd. for 0.5 mile to Boat House parking area. Restrooms 0.5 mile away. Meet at the soccer park on Mueller road off 370 in St. Charles county at 8:30 a.m. to ride at 9:00. This ride will be lead by Joan Fromme and Larry Essmann. A flat 46 mile ride that can be shortened (at 16.1 miles cross Hiway 94 and ride directly into Portage and do not make a right onto Hwy 94 which makes the ride 33 miles) Joan will lead the 46 mile flat ride that travels to the Portage Power Plant and Larry will lead the 33 mile route. Both rides take a break at the Trading Post Store in Portage and are totally flat. After the ride we will return to our cars and drive to Sugarfire BBQ for lunch. Directions: From I-270, take I-370 west into St. Charles County, right at Elm Street / New Town exit, north on New Town Road for 0.5 mile, right on Mueller Road for 0.4 mile to the soccer fields on the right. Directions: From I-255, take the Horseshoe Lake Road exit (exit #26). East on Horseshoe Lake Road for 0.6 miles. Turn right on United Drive, and then turn left into the Metro East Park and Recreation parking lot, directly behind Culver's restaurant. From I-70 east, exit at IL Route 157 (exit #11- Collinsville). North on Rt. 157 for 0.5 miles. Left on United Drive (the road just before Culver's), then a right into the Metro East Park and Recreation parking lot. Meet at 9:00 a.m. to leave at 9:30 from the Lewis and Clark Boathouse parking lot. We will use the cue sheet for the St. Peters Parish Picnic ride which is a basically flat 35 mile ride utilizing the Boschert Greenway trails on the return route. After the rides we can enjoy a great meal and enjoy other picnic activities. Bring a bike lock. Directions: I-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone’s Lick Rd. for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area.
