Directions: From I-255, take the Horseshoe Lake Road exit (exit #26). East on Horseshoe Lake Road for 0.6 miles. Directions: From the intersection of Clarkson Road and Manchester Road in West County, go west on Manchester Road (which becomes Hwy 100) approximately 2.4 miles to the stop light for Taylor Road on the left (south); left on Taylor Road for one block and then left into the Dierberg’s Parking Lot. Depart at 9:30 a.m. from Belleville Eckert’s Apple Orchard. From St. Louis take I-64 east 7 miles to I-255, then south 3 miles to Highway 15. Head east 12 miles and turn left into Eckert’s parking lot. Park in the parking lot to the far left. There are restrooms on the Eckert’s grounds, but none available for the first 33 miles of the ride. Distance of 41 miles. Trinity School is about one mile after Hwy. 94 does a sharp left at Hwy. H. We will have lunch at the return at either Llywelyn’s Pub or Hendrick’s Barbecue. Directions: 1-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone’s Lick Rd. for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area. There are no restrooms at the Boathouse parking area, but rest rooms are available in the park 0.5 miles away. Meet 9:00 a.m., depart 9:15 from the parking lot at the Baseball Field on Hwy. 94 in West Alton, Mo. Ride is 20 miles long. If interested, ride can extend to 32 or 42 miles. Leaders will ride just 20 miles. Lunch at the "Long Shot" Cafe in the marina. Directions: Take Hwy 367 north. It becomes Hwy 67. Turn left (Hwy 94) at the stop light at The Pit Stop Gas Station (rest rooms). After left turn at stop light, continue main road through tunnel to the West Alton Baseball Parking lot on the left. Meet at 8:30 a.m. to leave at 9:00. A flat 46 mile ride that can be shortened (at 16.1 miles cross Hiway 94 and ride directly into Portage and do not make a right onto 94 which makes the ride 33 miles) will use a few roads that are not ridden often and ride to the area near the Portage Ameren Power Plant. Both rides take a break in Portage.
