Road Closures

Bouquet Road CLOSURE for Bridge Replacement Project
Bouquet Road will be closed from Monday, May 14 through August 11, 2018 to replace the existing one-lane bridge on Bouquet Road located just north of Cremins Road. The bridge location is approximately 0.6 miles from the Melrose Road intersection and approximately 2.3 miles from the Old Manchester intersection,

Head east 12 miles and turn left into Eckert’s parking lot. Park in the parking lot to the far left. There are restrooms on the Eckert’s grounds, but none available for the first 33 miles of the ride. Distance of 41 miles. At bottom of ramp, turn R and follow 94 to round about and continue 94 to sharp turn right. Continue 94 and make a Left on Olive to the Blanchette-Greenway Park near the river front. Meet at 9:00 am for a 9:30 Start from the Lewis and Clark Boathouse. Directions: 1-70 west into St. Charles, exit 5th Street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone’s Lick Road for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area. Note there are no restrooms at the parking area. Restrooms are available in the park near the bandstand, about 0.5 miles from the parking are. Ride is about 40 miles, out and back. Route can be shortened to almost any distance. Sausage and turkey dinner served at Immanuel Lutheran Church, at First Capitol Drive and Sixth Street. Bring a bike lock. Sign in at 8:45 a.m. for a 9:00 start at the Kirkwood Community Center. This ride (30+ miles with shorter options) will take you thru Webster, River Des Peres, Carondelet Park, pass through historic Jefferson Barracks, Grants trail and back to Kirkwood for an end of season potluck lunch in Kirkwood Park at Lion's Pavilion, across the creek and up from our parking area. Please bring a food item to share and your own beverage. Alcohol is permitted but no hard liquor or glass containers. The pavilion is covered so the potluck will be held rain or shine at approximately 12:30 pm. RENEW YOUR 2015 MEMBERSHIP ($5.00) AND SAVE MAILING AND POSTAGE! Directions: I-270 to Manchester Road. Directions: At 270 and 44, go west on 44 over the Meramec River taking an immediate right onto Soccer Park. Right on Yarnell to Fenton Park entrance going right on Sweaney, then an immediate left onto parking lot by basketball courts. At Hwy 141 and I-44 go east on I-44 to Bowles Avenue exit. Continue straight on the South Outer Road. Take the Rudder Road exit. Left on Rudder. Right on Yarnell to Fenton Park. After exiting Forest Park to the west on Wydown, cut thru DeMun & Shaffly's, pass thru part of proposed Southwest Connector route by Deer Creek, cross Hw44 at Murdoch and roll the gentle hills on Laclede Station to Grant's Trail.
