Road Closures

Bouquet Road CLOSURE for Bridge Replacement Project
Bouquet Road will be closed from Monday, May 14 through August 11, 2018 to replace the existing one-lane bridge on Bouquet Road located just north of Cremins Road. The bridge location is approximately 0.6 miles from the Melrose Road intersection and approximately 2.3 miles from the Old Manchester intersection,

Meet at 9:00 a.m. to leave at 9:30 (remember to reset your clocks before bedtime) at the Lewis and Clark Boathouse in St. Charles for a ride befor the St. Peters Church Sausage Supper. Cost $10. We will use the St. Peters Parish Picnic ride cue sheet for a 44 mile flat ride that can easily be shortened. Directions: 1-70 west into St. Charles,exit 5th Street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone’s Lick Road for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area. Note there are no restrooms at the parking area. Restrooms are available in the park near the bandstand, about 0.5 miles from the parking area. Check in at 9:15 am for a 9:30 start. Meet at the Route 66 State Park. MoDOT has permanently closed the Old Route 66 Bridge between the east and west halves of Route 66 State Park. SEE NEW DIRECTIONS BELOW!
Directions: West on I-44 to the Eureka exit (Exit # 264), Left or south on Hwy 109 (Hwy W) cross under I-44 and immediately turn left onto the entrance ramp for eastbound I-44. Once you're on eastbound I-44, take the very next exit for Williams Rd. (exit # 265). Then take an immediate left on the south outer road. Follow the outer road east then turn left and cross under the two Meramec River bridges. Continue until the T intersection with the main park road, turn right and go a short distance (0.2 mi) to the parking lot with restrooms. Meet at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30 start from Trinity Lutheran School parking lot at 4689 N. Hwy 94 for a flat 24 mi ride to Portage Des Sioux. Visit the "Lady of the Rivers" Shrine. Rest/food stop in Portage Des Sioux. Directions: From Hwy 370 westbound, take Exit 7 to N. 3rd St. (Hwy 94). Take left at bottom of exit ramp. Meet at Lafayette Park at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 Start. Directions: East on I-64 (Hwy 40) to Jefferson Ave exit, right (South) on Jefferson for 0.6 mi to Park Ave. Left (East) on Park Ave. for 0.4 mi to Mississippi Ave. We will ride quiet downtown streets to the Riverfront Trails, crossing into Illinois on the Chain of Rocks Bridge and return to Missouri on the McKinley Bridge. Lunch will be at St. Stanislaus Kostka’s festival featuring a Polish dinner. Weather forecast is good, but check web site or call Larry at number below if conditions change. Ride will be about 30 miles and mostly flat. Directions: I-270 north to Riverview Blvd (exit #34), left (north) on Riverview Blvd for one block to Dunn Rd, left (west) on Dunn Rd for one block to the Missouri Visitor Center on the left. Directions: From I-70 and Hwy M (Main Street) go north 0.5 miles on Hwy M (Main St.) to railroad crossing; turn left (west) on Civic Park Drive (first street north of railroad crossing), west 0.2 miles to park on the right.  30 Nov Sun  The Classic Kirkwood Ride" (3Aa and 3Ab) Meet at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 start from the Kirkwood Park/Community Center for the regular 30 mile ride through Kirkwood, Webster Groves, River Des Peres to South St. Louis, Casino Riverfront bike path, JB Park and Grant's Trail back to Kirkwood. Rest stop at shelter in JB Park with water and restrooms. Lunch in Kirkwood after the ride. Directions: I-270 to Manchester Road. East on Manchester for about 2 miles to Geyer Road.
