Road Closures

Bouquet Road CLOSURE for Bridge Replacement Project
Bouquet Road will be closed from Monday, May 14 through August 11, 2018 to replace the existing one-lane bridge on Bouquet Road located just north of Cremins Road. The bridge location is approximately 0.6 miles from the Melrose Road intersection and approximately 2.3 miles from the Old Manchester intersection,

Meet at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 start from the Kirkwood Park/Community Center for the regular 30 mile or extended 40 mile ride through Kirkwood, Webster Groves, River Des Peres to South St. Louis, Casino Riverfront bike path, JB Park and Grant's Trail back to Kirkwood. Check in around 8:30 am for a 9:00 start. Meet at the Route 66 State Park. MoDOT has permanently closed the Old Route 66 Bridge Bridge between the east and west halves of Route 66 State Park. SEE NEW DIRECTIONS BELOW! We are venturing on the acclaimed Route 66 for a fairly flat ride with a few hills out through Eureka and Pacific. Ride about 32 miles with options for additional mileage. Directions: West on I-44 to the Eureka exit (Exit # 264), Left or south on Hwy 109 (Hwy W) cross under I-44 and immediately turn left onto the entrance ramp for eastbound I-44. Once you're on eastbound I-44, take the very next exit for Williams Rd. (exit # 265). Then take an immediate left on the south outer road. Follow the outer road east then turn left and cross under the two Meramec River bridges. Continue until the T intersection with the main park road, turn right and go a short distance (0.2 mi) to the parking lot with restrooms. Directions: From the intersection of Clarkson Road and Manchester Road in West County, go west on Manchester Road (which becomes Hwy 100) approximately 2.4 miles to the stop light for Taylor Road on the left (south); left on Taylor Road for one block and then left into the Dierberg’s Parking Lot. Directions: I-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone's Lick Rd. for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area. There are no rest rooms at the Boathouse parking area, but rest rooms are available at the Tourism Center 0.5 mile away. Turn right on United Drive, and then turn left into the Metro East Park and Recreation parking lot, directly behind Culver's restaurant. From I-70 east, exit at IL Route 157 (exit #11- Collinsville). Meet at 8:00 a.m. for a 8:30 departure from the Lewis and Clark boathouse for the trail, road and eat ride. A flat 32 mile ride beginning and ending on the Katy trail for the first and last 7 miles of the ride with the remainder of the ride on roads (so bring a bike you feel is appropriate for the surfaces) with a rest stop in Portage. After the ride we will gather at the BBQ establishment for lunch for a great meal. Directions: I-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th Street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boone's Lick Road for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area. Directions: From I-270, go west on I-64 (Hwy 40) 9.6 miles to the Long Rd. exit (exit #16). Take the Long Road exit, right and back up over I-64, then right on Chesterfield Airport Rd. for 1.8 miles to Olive Street Rd. (@ Phillips 66 station). Left on Olive Street Rd., which becomes N. Eatherton Rd., for 2.7 miles and turn left at the golf course sign. Where the road bends left in 0.3 miles, turn right into the second (east) church parking lot. Lunch in the Valley after the ride.
