 6 March Tue Kirkwood Park to Jefferson Barracks Park
It's spring and time to get in shape. Join your old and new biking friends on a 30-mile ride from Kirkwood Park to Jefferson Barracks Park. The ride will begin at the Kirkwood Community Center and include Grants Trail. Lunch in Kirkwood. Directions: Meet at the Kirkwood Community Center, 111 S. 13 March Tue Stacey Park Ride
Sign in at 9:15 am for a 9:30 am start. Don't miss this favorite bike ride. Meet at the Forest Park Visitors Center parking lot. Directions: The Visitors Center is just east of the History Museum off Lindell Blvd. Parking lot behind the administration building. After riding around Forest Park, we will go through U City and eventually ride on the Olivette bicycle path to Stacey Park. Then it’s on to Midland where we ride downhill to U City for lunch at one of many spots. Then home to Forest Park. Approximately 27 miles. Coordinator: Faye Holdenried 636-399-4604. Cue Sheet

Following this Tuesday ride, there will be a meeting of potential ride leaders to discuss procedures for leading rides. We will meet at the Visitor's Center in Forest Park.

15 March Thur Tower Grove Park City Circle (3Ba) Sign in at 9:00 am for a 9:30 am start. Meet in Tower Grove Park. Directions: I-44 or I-40/64 East to South on Kingshighway, left into the park between Magnolia and Arsenal Sts. Coordinator: Dalton Baker, 314-832-7134 This is a leisurely ride through tree-lined streets and park paths of "our fair city" viewing some lesser known points of interest and a potpourri of architecture styles for about 20 mostly flat miles. Inexperienced riders who want to get comfortable riding on city streets in a group are welcome. Since "flats happen", bring a spare tube (that fits your bike tires), a few bucks if you want to have lunch "on the Hill" and a bottle of water. A cell phone would be helpful in case you have trouble and/or get separated from the pack. This is not a ride for children, however Tower Grove Park is a great place for children to learn to ride. A cue sheet for the route will be available at the start of the ride. 19 March Mon Creve Coeur Lake to New Town and Beyond (3Aa) Special Note: Since this ride in St. Charles County does not have a ride permit from the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department, the maximum number of cyclists that are permitted on the ride is 24. Depart at 9:00 a.m. from Sailboat Cove at Creve Coeur Lake for a mostly flat ride to New Town and beyond in St. Charles County. Directions: From I-270, exit at Dorsett Rd. West 1.5 miles to Marine Ave. Right (north) on Marine for about 1.3 miles to Sailboat Cove entrance. Options for 25 - 45 miles. Rest/Food Stop in New town. Coordinator: Linda Borders, 638-532-4379. 20 March Tue Lafayette Park to Chain of Rocks Meet at the NE corner of Lafayette Park at 9 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. start. We will ride north on the Riverfront Trail to Old Chain of Rocks Bridge, cross the Mississippi and continue south on rural roads and trails crossing back into St. Louis on the McKinley Bridge. 32 mostly flat miles. Directions: US40/I-64 east, exit Jefferson Ave. south, left on Park, right on Mississippi. Meet at the Soccer Field on Mueller Rd. at 9:00, depart 9:30. Ride 30 miles on flat roads. Lunch in St. Peters.(Directions: Take 370 to Elm exit, right on Elm, right on Mueller Rd.) Meet at the Chesterfield Baseball fields at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM start. We will ride the new Monarch Levee Bike Trail to Centaur Road then out into west County. Directions: Head west on I-64 to the Boone Crossing Exit. Turn Right and then Left onto the north outer road. Drive to the Chesterfield Baseball fields and parking. Be sure and bring tube, helmet, and your St. Louis Recreational Cyclist membership(First time rider exemption). The ride will be around thirty miles. Directions: Take Highway 40/I-64 west to Exit 14, Spirt of St. Louis Airpost in Chesterfield turn right at the turnaround and then a short left off of the north Outer Road into the soccer fields parking lot.
