 2 April Mon Creve Coeur Lake to New Town and Beyond (3Aa)
Depart at 9:00 a.m. from Sailboat Cove at Creve Coeur Lake for a mostly flat ride to New Town and beyond in St. Charles County. Directions: From I-270, exit at Dorsett Rd. West 1.5 miles to Marine Ave. Right (north) on Marine for about 1.3 miles to Sailboat Cove entrance. Options for 25 – 45 miles. Rest/Food Stop in New town. Coordinator: Linda Borders, 638-532-4379. Meet at the Chesterfield athletic fields at 8:30 am for a 9:00 am start. We will ride the new Monarch Levee Bike Trail to Centaur Road then out into west County. Directions: West on I-64 (Hwy 40) to Exit #14 (Spirit of St. Louis Blvd.). Up exit ramp to traffic circle then make a hard right onto the North service Rd. Go 0.1 mi and turn left on road leading to athletic fields and parking. This ride will be around thirty miles with options for more or less miles. Coordinator: Dave Reiter, 314-406-2359. Meet at Tower Grove Park just inside the Kingshighway entrance for a 32-mile "Here We Go Loop de Loo." This is no sissy city ride. There will be hills! Shorter 25-mile, less hilly version available. We will visit Bellerive, Carondelet, and Forest Park as well as south St. Louis, Maplewood and Clayton. Lunch at The Hartford Coffee Co. near TGP. Directions: From I-270, take I-370 west into St. Charles County, right at Elm Street / New Town exit, north on New Town Road for 0.5 mile, right on Mueller Road for 0.4 mile to the soccer fields on the right. Directions: I-70 west into St. Charles County, exit 5th Street north for 0.2 mile, then right on Boon's Lick Road for 0.5 mile to the Boathouse parking area.
